Gamergy World: Building a branded universe for players
A game built to keep the hype alive
Gamergy, Spain’s premier esports and gaming event organized by IFEMA MADRID and GGTech Entertainment, has always been about more than just three days of excitement. In 2022, we set out to keep that energy alive 24/7, 365 days a year, creating Gamergy World Mobile, a full-fledged social video game designed to let players experience Gamergy anytime, anywhere.
Launched as a continuation of the original browser-based Gamergy World, this mobile version expanded on the vision: to offer a permanent, gamified hub for the community. With intuitive registration, Android accessibility (and later iOS), and four fully themed maps inspired by the international Gamergy Tour (Argentina, Mexico, Chile, and Spain), players could explore, play, and connect beyond the boundaries of time or location.
Branded experiences like never before
What truly set Gamergy World apart was our work with over 60 global brands to create customized interactive spaces. These weren’t just skins or ads —we developed entire mini-games, missions, and themed rooms tailored to each brand’s identity. From Disney and Intel to Red Bull, Amazon, and OMEN, each collaboration brought something unique to the game world.
Players could explore brand-themed zones filled with interactive mini-games, sci-fi missions, and seasonal surprises like a spooky Halloween escape room. They could also customize their avatars and meet up with friends in dedicated social hubs to dance and hang out. These experiences not only offered entertainment but also helped brands authentically engage with a gaming-savvy audience. Every space was crafted to reflect brand storytelling through immersive gameplay, creating a win-win for players and partners alike.
A living, breathing virtual world
The four regional maps weren’t just visual reskins—they were fully explorable urban worlds packed with local flavor and unique gameplay layers. From snowy Argentinian peaks to neon-lit Mexican plazas, each location offered something fresh and immersive:

Gamergy World Mobile wasn’t a static app. We delivered frequent updates, including new rooms, avatar customization, and community-driven content. Highlights included the Dino Museum Escape Room, an April event in Argentina’s map, and exclusive cosmetic rewards for legacy players of the browser version.
Massive community impact
With over 500,000 visits, a session average of 10+ minutes, and dozens of branded rooms, Gamergy World Mobile proved that gaming can be an effective, ongoing channel for fan engagement and brand storytelling.
